Day 45 - Max Interval Plyo
TODAY was definitely a workout Wednesday. Decided to hit my schools beautiful gym today and take advantage of their free group classes.
- 1hr Boxing class
- 1hr Yoga class
- 1hr Insanity
First time doing boxing, I loved it, but it was intense! I was sweating faster than I do during insanity! Love the feeling of building arm muscle though, and hitting a punching bag as hard as you can is such a good feeling >:) Yoga was a little more relaxing, but not by much. Boxing was mostly strength and cardio: we did arm punches, push-ups, jump rope. Yoga is more strength, stretching, flexibility, balance, and core abdominal work. My favorite part of yoga definitely has to be Savasana which we do for like 5 minutes at the end of class. You almost lose yourself into the world, before you’re brought back into reality.
Anyways, did those two classes back to back, then went back to my dorm and did Insanity. Was not up to 100%, but still got through most of it! I can feel my body is physically tired, but mentally, I’m as energized as ever.
Gotta love endorphins!!!!!
Already had two protein shakes today, here’s an example of one:
- 3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1/2 banana
- 1/2 cup blueberries
- 2 T flax
- 2 T natural and organic peanut butter
- 1 scoop whey protein (30g)
What do you guys drink pre/post workout??
